Handcrafted in Nashville, the new collection combines studio-focused functionality, acoustic awareness and customizable design
Nashville, Tennessee | July 21, 2026 — NILES, a specialized recording studio design/build and consulting firm, has announced the launch of NILES Furniture & Fabrication, a dedicated division offering boutique, handcrafted, studio furniture for producers, engineers, artists and commercial recording facilities.
The new division extends the same detail-focused, performance-driven approach behind NILES recording environments into a collection of purpose-built desks, equipment racks and fully custom furniture solutions. Each piece is designed and fabricated in-house in Nashville, Tennessee, with an emphasis on intuitive workflow, clean cable management, acoustic transparency and long-term durability.
NILES Furniture offers both pre-designed products and custom solutions. The initial product collection includes their flagship Bee Too, The Creator, Pedestal Desks, Split Bay Desk, Lo-boy Rack, Hi-boy Rack, Producer Rack, Premium Studio Racks, and Pedestal with Racks. Products are available in a range of dimensions, rack configurations, materials and finish options to accommodate the individual needs of private studios, production suites, mix rooms and large commercial facilities.
Furniture designed around the creative workflow
The NILES furniture process begins in much the same way as the company’s studio design work: with a conversation.
Whether a client is selecting an existing product or pursuing a completely custom piece, the NILES team begins by examining how the space will be used. Equipment requirements, monitoring positions, rack access, cable routing, ergonomics, materials, finishes and future expansion are considered before fabrication begins.
The company’s collective backgrounds in audio engineering, music production, studio construction and technical integration allow the team to approach each piece as both furniture and a functional studio tool.
Custom configurations can include racks designed around specific collections of outboard equipment, desks built to accommodate consoles or control surfaces, integrated keyboard and peripheral storage, removable access panels, cable pass-through channels and dedicated pathways that separate power infrastructure from sensitive audio connections.
Once the layout and functionality have been established, each piece is handcrafted by the NILES Furniture & Fabrication team. Premium European birch, hardwood faces, durable laminate surfaces and premium finishes are used throughout the collection.
The objective is to create furniture that supports the way each client works, keeps technical infrastructure organized and accessible, and contributes naturally to the overall character of the creative environment.

The Bee Too: acoustic transparency and accessible integration
The Bee Too is a hybrid producer and mixing desk designed to provide substantial equipment integration within an arm’s reach, while minimizing unnecessary acoustic obstruction within the listening environment.
Available in multiple sizes and finish combinations, the desk provides 26U of accessible rack space and can be configured with a custom inset for a control surface. Easily removable rear panels simplify equipment installation, cable dressing and future system changes.
Multiple ventilation pathways promote airflow and heat circulation around installed equipment, while the desk’s open design helps reduce the large reflective surfaces commonly introduced by traditional studio furniture.
The Bee Too is equipped with a fingerprint-resistant matte-black laminate desktop and two dedicated floating shelves designed to keep power supplies, peripherals and supporting equipment organized and separated from critical audio pathways.
The Pedestal Desk: clean cable management and improved sightlines
The Pedestal Desk combines a minimal architectural profile with integrated solutions for displays, peripherals and cable management. This desk is a mixing or mastering engineer's dream.
The desk’s pedestal structures provide concealed pathways for routing power, audio and data connections while maintaining easy access when equipment needs to be changed. An integrated display shelf allows monitors to sit lower within the workspace, helping reduce visual obstruction and reflective surfaces near the center of the stereo field.
The result is a clean, streamlined work surface that keeps frequently used peripherals within reach without allowing cables and supporting equipment to dominate the room.

The Producer Rack: flexible storage from 12U to 72U
The Producer Rack is a modular studio equipment rack available in single-, double- and triple-bay configurations ranging from 12U to 72U of rack space.
Handmade from premium European birch with hardwood faces and premium finishes, the Producer Racks are designed to provide convenient access to outboard equipment while remaining adaptable as a studio’s needs evolve.
Generous cable pass-through channels are incorporated between equipment bays, with additional routing access available through the floor and top of the rack. This allows cables to be installed and dressed cleanly while remaining accessible for maintenance or system changes.
The Producer Racks are supplied with casters as standard, allowing engineers to reposition equipment when workflows, room layouts or session requirements change. An optional fingerprint-resistant matte-black laminate top provides a durable surface for synthesizers, sidecar consoles and other frequently moved equipment.
Standard products with custom possibilities
In addition to its core product collection, NILES Furniture provides fully custom furniture for clients whose equipment, workflow or architectural requirements fall outside standardized configurations.
During concept development, the team explores multiple approaches to materials, dimensions, finishes, equipment placement and functionality. These options are then refined alongside the client to determine which features best support the room, workflow and available budget.
NILES approaches studio furniture as part of the complete creative environment. When designed properly, it can improve workflow, maintain a cleaner and more organized room, reduce the visual presence of technical infrastructure and help the space feel distinct to its owner.
Every NILES furniture piece is intended to serve as a long-term working tool rather than simply an aesthetic addition. The division’s focus on serviceability, access and adaptable configurations allows products to remain useful as equipment collections and production workflows change.

An extension of the NILES studio design philosophy
NILES Furniture builds upon the company’s broader work designing and constructing high-performance private and commercial recording studios. Their clientele include Capitol, Universal Music Group, Big Loud Records, East Iris Studios, Jelly Roll, and Kane Brown, to name a few.
Through its design/build, acoustics, audio integration and consulting services, NILES creates recording environments tailored to the technical requirements, creative preferences and budgets of individual clients.
Rather than applying a universal methodology, the company considers the specific purpose and performance goals of each room. Critical mix rooms, production suites, mastering facilities, live rooms and immersive audio environments are each approached according to their own acoustical, architectural and workflow requirements.
The NILES team combines current building science, acoustic analysis and technical engineering with decades of collective experience as artists, producers and audio engineers. This perspective allows the company to evaluate its work from both sides of the glass, balancing measurable technical performance with the comfort, inspiration and intuitive functionality required of a creative space.
